Welcoming people with disabilities
The Pont du Gard has remained faithful to its mission of providing a public service to all. We are continually seeking to improve our facilities for visitors with disabilities. Our aim is to allow everyone to come and enjoy a slice of their cultural heritage.
Parkings adaptés (Pont du Gard)
Wheelchairs available on request
Many facilities have been set up to welcome disabled visitors to the Pont du Gard site. There are disabled parking spaces, accessible paths throughout the visitor areas and free wheelchair loan. The Pont du Gard cares deeply about the accessibility of the monument, the surrounding buildings and spaces, and the special events and shows organised all year round.
Additionally, the various cultural spaces and the Les Terrasses restaurant are serviced by lifts. The museum offers a sensory approach to learning, through a radio dramatisation, audio guides and tactile ways of experiencing the technical expertise and brilliance of ancient Rome.
